Every Year of the 5 we did was a cry good and bad but a undescribale feeling in our Hearts after bring Santa from his workshop at the North Pole to the Kids in Driscoll Children's Hospital who couldn't go home for Christmas but was in augh of Santa calling them for a wish list check before the big day! Most forfilling time in my life .....
North Pole Radio Tech Klint Mann created a lot of the systems including Workshop background noise.. All the elves at work could be heard over the air when Santa was talking to the kids..

  • The HamFest utilized 3 connected buildings with over 75 tables and one building had 7 classrooms we had 7 individual Seminars with Special Speakers. I was able to get a really good friend, Joe Eisenberg ( K0NEB)fly in from Lincoln, Nebraska to conduct the radio kit building session. Joe is a well known ( some what Famous) in Amateur Radio and a writer for the ARRL (Amateur Radio Headquarters.

Silence followed then he said "Gee, I never said anything to you when I entered you in the contest thinking She'll NENVER win. This was for EVERY Business Customer in Sprint" SO I WON!!

Richar Petty, VERY Famous NASCAR Driver was a Great man everyone we met in the business was the same, down to Earth, considerate and caring.. I was so impressed. NOTHING like those snot nose little boys in the NFL!!
First evening Dinner and found out this will be our "Sprint Girl" for our Dinner Companion through our stay... WOW!! Fancy!
Everyone is gifted a pair of designer Sunglasses for the wekend events.. WOW! Cha-Ching!

Daytona 500 Let's Go Fishing Day Two

Been fishing all my life and NEVER saw a "Fish KISSING" until then.
Red Snapper foshing in the Atlantic Ocean was a real thrill for an old fisherman like me. Fishing wasn't good only these few caught by others not us but it was great getting to go. One thing good about no big catches is Florida law is catch an release during the time we were there. couple month later you could keep them. But, getting to see the Fish Kisser was a kick . She was one of the two concierge.s with us so I was happy for her. These 2 gals followed us everywhere to provide any assistance we might need. Our trip to the Dollar Store was for not.. They WERE a Dollar Store, 5 brands of beer, 4 brands of soda, suntan lotion, sea sickness pills, towels, snacks out the wing-wang.. it was amazing. I really understand what it feels to be a VeryImportantPerson!

IMet and got to knowAnthony Stewart (aka Smoke) 3 time NASCAR winner (2002-2005-2011) and Indy winner also. His the ONLY driver to win Indy & NASCAR. His Father,Tony Stewart ( a driver also)won the last Winston Cup in racing history.

Daytona 500 Day Three !!Race Day!!

7am Headed to the track with our own Police escort WOW! Had to leave on the early bus because some of us won a spin around the track with the Pace Car that will start the race. Really was blown away by the ride at 100-120 MPH doing a complete trip around the track from the pits. I filmed most and reveiw it from time to time just for memory sake. Also a biggie...We were seated in the Sprint Suite 700 at the top of the announcer's box. AWESOME Breakfast and lunch served with snacks, soda and Booze galore! Craig won a walk throught the Machine shop where the teams were fine tuning their cars.. He also made TV walking in front of the Drivers thru the entry tunnel.. Saw him on TV at home.
Arrived and headed to the Track for our Pace Car Experience!!

AND THE RAIN CAME!

After the race started about 1 hour into the race The Rain started and the flood gates opened. Then the wait for it to pass never happened. At around 5pm we had 2 options. We could continue to wait it our or We could goo back to the resort. They felt the race would be posponed until the next day (Monday) and resume to complete. We chose to return to the Resort planning to return Monday BUT, the rain finally stopped and the race completed a little after midnight! Shucks!
So, Start up Begins.. Thanks to Sprint for thinking and providing any and everything possible, We hae 2 professional Photographers with us everywhere we went and They took thes Fantastic Night shots!

Now the DREAM is coming to and END and will be waking up back in "Kansas, Dorothy" This was the DREAM Trip of my lifetime. Felt like a REAL VIP the whole time.. I Never Will and Never have forfotten what an unbelievable opportunity this was! Thanks to Sprint and my account Manager Michael Slayers for putting my name in the pot!
